She earned her Bachelor’s in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) in 1997 and her MD in Kayachikitsa (Ayurveda Medicine) in 2000 from the University of Pune in India. Through her BAMS courses, she learned how to integrate mainstream Allopathic medicine with holistic Ayurvedic medicine. Asavari demonstrated her expertise by earning a gold medal for her scholarly thesis by the Indian Institute of Medicine.
She has cultivated a deep commitment to Ayurvedic medicine and serves her clients through consultations and Panchakarma therapies. For over two decades, she has helped people with chronic health problems like arthritis, acne, anxiety, fibromyalgia, obesity, and Parkinson’s achieve a better quality of life.
Now based in Minneapolis, MN, Asavari is the founder of Ayuwellness and co-founder of the Minnesota Institute of Ayurveda. Beyond Ayurveda, she enjoys being a mother, wife, professor, and yoga teacher.
